2026 UTME: JAMB Explains Delay in Printing Original Result Slips

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that the printing of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Original Result Slip has not yet been activated, urging candidates nationwide to remain patient as the process is being finalized.
In a statement issued by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB explained that the delay is due to the recent conclusion of its foreign examinations as well as preparations for the upcoming mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to participate in the main UTME through no fault of theirs.
The Board noted that the UTME is a ranking examination, stressing that the Original Result Slip contains candidates’ rankings and other critical details. According to JAMB, all necessary processing and adjustments must be completed before the result slips can be made available for printing.
JAMB assured candidates that the portal for printing the Original Result Slip would be activated shortly after the completion of the required procedures. The Board added that candidates would be officially informed once the printing process begins.
The examination body also apologised for the delay and appealed for understanding from candidates and stakeholders awaiting the release of the slips.
