Tinubu Approves Forest Guards, Military Consideration After School Kidnap Outrage in Oyo

 By Kehinde Awosina  President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State and deployed a special rescue team following the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of the state. The Federal Government disclosed this on Sunday during a visit by a high-powered delegation to Esiele and Yawota communities, where pupils and teachers from Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School were abducted on May 15, 2026. The delegation, led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s concern over the incident and reassured residents that the Federal Government was committed to securing the safe return of the victims.
