“Tinubu Is Our In-Law, We Can’t Vote Against Him” — Delta Gov

 By Kehinde Awosina

Delta State Governor, , has declared that supporting President in the 2027 presidential election is both a political and moral obligation for the people of Delta State, describing any move against the President as an act of ingratitude.

The governor made the remark while addressing party leaders, stakeholders and supporters during a political gathering in the state. He emphasized the growing political alliance between Delta State and the Presidency, noting that Tinubu now enjoys a special relationship with the state.

Oborevwori said Delta people have every reason to support Tinubu’s bid for a second term, stressing that the President has demonstrated goodwill toward the state and its leadership. According to him, the bond between Delta and the President has become stronger, making it difficult for the state to turn its back on him during the next election cycle.

The governor reportedly described Tinubu as “our in-law,” a reference to the close ties that now exist between the President and key political figures in Delta State. He argued that backing the President in 2027 would be a natural response to the support and cooperation Delta has received from the Federal Government.

Oborevwori also urged party members to remain united and work toward delivering overwhelming support for Tinubu and the ruling party in future elections. He expressed confidence that the political structure in Delta would mobilize effectively to secure victory for the President and other party candidates.

The governor’s comments come amid a wave of endorsements for Tinubu across Delta State and the wider Niger Delta region, with several political groups and stakeholders already expressing support for his re-election bid ahead of 2027.
