Gunmen have reportedly attacked the Nigeria Immigration Service office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, in a late-night operation that has raised fresh concerns over security in the area.

According to local reports, the attackers stormed the facility under the cover of darkness and overpowered security operatives on duty. During the raid, the assailants allegedly carted away rifles belonging to the immigration officers before fleeing the scene.

The incident is believed to have caused panic among residents, although details surrounding possible casualties or arrests remain unclear at the time of filing this report.

Security sources say authorities have since been alerted, and an investigation has been launched to track down the attackers and recover the stolen weapons.

The attack adds to a growing list of security breaches recorded in parts of Oyo State in recent weeks, prompting renewed calls for stronger protection of government facilities and security personnel.
