2027 Battle Begins as PDP-APM Alliance Shakes Oyo with Massive Rally
By Kehinde Awosina
Governor Seyi Makinde’s political strength was on full display in Oyo State as a joint rally involving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) attracted a large turnout of supporters ahead of the 2027 political season.
The gathering, held in Ibadan, drew party loyalists, youth groups, market women, and political stakeholders from different parts of the state, signaling growing cooperation between both parties.
Supporters at the event chanted solidarity songs and waved party banners as leaders of the alliance spoke on the need for unity, continuity, and strategic collaboration ahead of future elections.
Party officials described the massive turnout as evidence of increasing public confidence in the PDP-led administration in Oyo State and the strengthening relationship between the PDP and APM.
Political observers say the alliance may reshape the political landscape in the South-West as consultations and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum in several states.
