The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, on Friday held a strategic meeting with Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chairmen, as well as leaders of the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries.
Hamzat said the engagement was part of efforts to strengthen unity within the ruling party and reinforce its grassroots connection across the state.
According to him, the meeting focused on sustaining progressive governance and ensuring that Lagos continues on the path of growth and development through people-oriented leadership.
The Deputy Governor noted that the strength of the APC in Lagos has always been rooted in its close relationship with residents at the grassroots level and its understanding of the daily challenges facing Lagosians.
He stressed that the task ahead remains one of service, trust, and inclusive development, adding that every Local Government Area and LCDA must be given equal opportunities to thrive and succeed.
Hamzat also reaffirmed the commitment of the party leadership to delivering governance that listens to the people and responds to their needs as political activities gradually build up ahead of the primaries.
