Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency have unanimously endorsed veteran lawmaker Oluwole Oke as the party’s candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election, paving the way for what would become his seventh term in the Green Chamber.
The adoption, described by party stakeholders as a move aimed at strengthening unity and consolidating experience ahead of the polls, followed consultations among APC leaders across the constituency.
Reacting to the development, Hon. Wole Oke expressed deep appreciation to party leaders for what he called their commitment to unity, discipline, and collective progress within the party. He noted that the consensus arrangement reflected political maturity and the determination of party members to work together for the continued development of Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
The federal lawmaker also commended fellow aspirants who voluntarily stepped down in support of his candidature. Those acknowledged include Prince Abiodun Aribisala, Alhaji Ahmed Alubankudi, Engr. Agoro, Prof. Akinmoladun, and Engr. Femi Akosile.
According to Oke, their sacrifice and loyalty to the party’s shared vision would remain a source of inspiration as the APC prepares for the 2027 general elections.
With the endorsement, the long-serving legislator further cements his status as one of the most enduring political figures in the constituency, having maintained a strong presence in Nigeria’s legislative landscape for decades.
Party leaders at the meeting reportedly pledged to remain united behind Oke’s candidacy, expressing confidence in his experience and capacity to continue delivering representation and development projects to the people of Obokun/Oriade.
