APC Unveils Winners of Osun Senatorial, Reps Primaries Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the winners of its senatorial and House of Representatives primaries across Osun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party concluded its primary elections with prominent politicians and returning lawmakers emerging victorious in the three senatorial districts of the state.
In Osun Central Senatorial District, legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, secured the party’s senatorial ticket. For the House of Representatives seats in the district, Hon. Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode (ITK) emerged winner for Osogbo Federal Constituency, while Hon. Eniade Francis Damilare clinched the ticket for Ifelodun Federal Constituency. Hon. Adebisi Obawale, PhD, also emerged victorious for Ila Federal Constituency.
In Osun West Senatorial District, businessman and politician, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, won the APC senatorial primary. Hon. David Asalu, popularly known as Asler, secured the party’s ticket for Ede Federal Constituency, while Prince Ademola Adedapo emerged winner for Iwo Federal Constituency. Former federal lawmaker, Hon. Mrs. Taiwo Oluga, clinched the ticket for Irewole Federal Constituency.
For Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi emerged as the APC candidate for the Senate seat, positioning himself for another electoral contest. In the House of Representatives primaries, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro secured victory for Ife Federal Constituency, while Hon. Sanya Omirin emerged for Ijesa South Federal Constituency. Long-serving lawmaker, Hon. Oluwole Oke, clinched the party’s ticket for Ijesa North Federal Constituency.
The outcome of the primaries has further set the stage for intense political contests in Osun State as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 general elections. Party leaders and supporters expressed optimism that the candidates would strengthen the APC’s chances across the state.
