Muslims in Obokun State Constituency have been encouraged to uphold the moral lessons of Eid-el-Adha in their daily lives as a way of promoting peace, unity, and social harmony within their communities.

This call was made by the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency Coordinator of the Imole Youth Mobilization Campaign Committee, Ambassador (Dr.) Olatunji Awodiran, popularly known as Omo Olore, while extending his goodwill message to Muslim faithful across Obokun and beyond on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration.

Awodiran congratulated Muslims for witnessing another festive season, describing it as a moment of spiritual renewal, sacrifice, and gratitude to Almighty Allah for His continued mercy and blessings. He noted that the significance of Eid-el-Adha goes beyond celebration, stressing that it serves as a reminder of obedience, compassion, and devotion to God.

He urged the faithful to reflect these values in their everyday conduct, particularly in their relationships with neighbours, colleagues, and people of other faiths, adding that such ethical living remains key to building a more just and progressive society.

According to him, “this is a special period of grace and divine blessings,” encouraging Muslims to ensure that the teachings and spirit of the festival are translated into positive actions that benefit the wider community.

The coordinator also used the occasion to call for prayers for national unity, peace, and stability, as well as divine guidance for leaders at all levels of government. He further appealed for support and prayers ahead of the forthcoming Osun governorship election, expressing hope for continued progress in the state.

He prayed that Almighty Allah accept the acts of worship and supplications of the faithful, grant their requests, and strengthen them on the path of righteousness.

“Wishing you all a blessed Eid-el-Adha celebration. Taqabballahu minna wa minkum,” he added.
