Carrick Takes Charge as Man United Confirm Permanent Appointment

Former Manchester United midfielder, Michael Carrick, has officially been named the club’s substantive manager following the approval of a long-term deal backed by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Premier League giants confirmed the appointment after weeks of speculation surrounding the club’s managerial future. Carrick, who previously served within United’s coaching setup, is now expected to lead the team into a new era at Old Trafford.

The decision is believed to be part of Ratcliffe’s wider restructuring plans aimed at restoring Manchester United’s dominance in English and European football.
