A member of the House of Representatives, Blessing Onuh, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Onuh, who is the daughter of former Senate President and current National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, secured the party’s ticket during the APC House of Representatives primaries conducted in Benue State on Saturday.

Her victory positions her to seek another term in the green chamber, where she currently represents the constituency. Reports indicated that the APC primaries in Benue attracted dozens of aspirants across various federal constituencies, reflecting intense competition within the ruling party.

Political observers have continued to monitor developments in Benue APC, especially amid internal alignments and growing preparations for the 2027 elections. Onuh’s emergence is seen as one of the notable outcomes of the exercise, alongside victories recorded by other prominent aspirants in the state.
