The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industry and Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, particularly those in Osun East Senatorial District, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by his Head of Media and Public Enlightenment, Omole Olusegun Omo-Oshodi, the lawmaker urged Muslims to use the sacred period to offer fervent prayers for Osun State, Nigeria, and leaders at all levels of government.

Senator Fadahunsi also charged worshippers to pray for peaceful and successful democratic processes ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State. He further called for support and prayers for the All Progressives Congress, its governorship candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, and the electorate.

The Ijesa-born politician emphasized the importance of sacrifice, love, and selflessness, which he described as the core values and teachings of Eid-el-Kabir. According to him, Nigerians must embrace collective responsibility and make meaningful sacrifices towards the development, peace, and progress of the country.

He noted that the season presents another opportunity for citizens to renew their faith in God and commitment to national unity.

“A period like this calls for renewed commitment to the worship of Allah (SWT). With unity of purpose, Nigerians can prosper. Through prayers, selflessness, dedication, and renewed hope, we shall overcome our challenges as a nation,” Senator Fadahunsi stated.

The senator concluded by wishing Muslims a peaceful and rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and harmony within their communities.
