Adewumi Adeyemi Irekandu has commended the ongoing infrastructure development across communities in Obokun and parts of Oriade Local Government Areas, describing the projects as a clear sign of steady progress under the administration of Ademola Adeleke.
The lawmaker made the remarks during an inspection visit to some of the ongoing road construction projects in the constituency, according to a statement shared on his official Facebook page.
Irekandu noted that the Otan-Ile to Ilare-Ijesa to Esa-Odo road project, which stretches toward Oriade Local Government, is progressing steadily and has continued to attract positive reactions from residents and commuters within the axis.
He also highlighted the ongoing construction of the Ilahun-Ijesa to Ere-Ijesa bridge, alongside the rehabilitation of the Ibokun to Ilahun-Ijesa road, describing the projects as critical to improving transportation, connectivity, and economic activities in the affected communities.
According to the lawmaker, the projects complement previously completed township roads in Imesi-Ile, Ibokun, and Ilare-Ijesa, adding that more developmental projects are expected across various communities in the constituency.
He said the visible impact of the infrastructure projects has brought excitement and relief to residents, who now enjoy improved access and smoother movement within the area.
Irekandu expressed appreciation to Governor Adeleke for sustaining investment in road infrastructure and community development across Osun State, noting that the administration’s efforts are gradually transforming many rural and urban communities.
