“False Alarm!” — Wole Oke’s Camp Fires Back Over Alleged APC Disqualification
By Kehinde Awosina
The camp of Hon. Oluwole Oke has dismissed reports claiming that the lawmaker was disqualified by the All Progressives Congress, describing the allegation as false, misleading, and politically motivated. In a press statement issued by his Senior Media Aide, Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, the camp clarified that the APC had not screened out or disqualified any aspirant, contrary to reports circulating in some political circles.
The statement accused those behind the publication of engaging in deliberate misinformation aimed at creating unnecessary tension within the party. It stressed that public communication should be rooted in facts and responsibility rather than “conjecture or malice.”
According to the statement, Hon. Wole Oke remains actively involved with party leaders and stakeholders, maintaining his commitment toward the success of the APC and the political ambition of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
The media office further stated that the lawmaker’s focus remains on grassroots mobilisation and strategic political engagement across the state, adding that attempts to distract him with “unfounded claims” would not succeed.
The statement also maintained that the APC in Osun State remains united and focused ahead of future political contests, insisting that Hon. Wole Oke “is on course.”
Observers believe the rebuttal may be connected to rising political tension and permutations within the Osun APC ahead of the 2026 governorship race.
