Oriade 2027: Why Engr. Olufemi Akosile Remains the Candidate to Beat

Engr. Olufemi Akosile has firmly established himself as a dominant political figure in Oriade LGA. In the recently concluded APC primary, he emerged victorious in 7 out of 12 wards, demonstrating widespread grassroots support and a strong endorsement from party members across the local government area.

The results further underscore his strength. Prof. Akinmoladun recorded zero votes in his stronghold of Wards 8, 9, and 10, while Hon. Aloba, despite notable activity within those wards, failed to maintain influence across the remaining areas. In contrast, Engr. Akosile defeated Hon. Aloba by a margin of 1,133 votes, clearly showing that his appeal cuts across different blocs within Oriade rather than being limited to a specific base.

This broad-based support reflects deep trust, acceptance, and confidence in his leadership across the wards. It also positions him as a unifying figure capable of consolidating party strength and enhancing APC’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Beyond Oriade, Engr. Akosile carries significant strategic weight within the broader political structure of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). With his strong grassroots network, organizational capacity, and wide reach, he is well positioned to mobilize effectively for the August 15 governorship election and contribute meaningfully to APC’s overall success.

In every respect, Engr. Olufemi Akosile combines numbers, structure, and acceptability. His track record shows he is not only a strong contender for Oriade 2027 but also a dependable asset in the wider APC victory agenda.
