By Kehinde Awosina
Governor Ademola Adeleke has endorsed top political figures, including Ibukun Fadipe (IBK) and Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, for senatorial tickets under the Accord Party ahead of the 2027 general elections in Osun State.
The endorsement was reportedly sealed during a high-level meeting between the governor and leaders of the Accord Party held at the Government House in Osogbo on Monday.
Ibukun Fadipe, Chairman of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, emerged as the preferred candidate for the Osun East Senatorial District, while Olaoluwa Asejere also secured the party’s backing for a senatorial ambition.
In addition to the senatorial endorsements, six members of the House of Representatives and 24 members of the Osun State House of Assembly were reportedly handed automatic return tickets to contest for another term under the Accord platform.
The move is seen as part of broader political consultations and strategic alignments ahead of the 2027 elections in the state.
Political observers believe the endorsements could significantly influence the emerging electoral dynamics in Osun as parties intensify preparations for the next general elections.
