Osun APC Panicking Over Adeleke’s Achievements, Popularity Ahead of Poll — TICC
By Kehinde Awosina
The Imole Campaign Council (TICC), the political campaign structure backing Ademola Adeleke, has accused the All Progressives Congress in Osun State of being unsettled by the governor’s growing popularity and performance record ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the spokesperson of the council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the group said the widespread acceptance of Governor Adeleke among residents was driven by what it described as “excellent performance” and “outstanding deliveries across sectors.”
According to the council, the opposition APC has become increasingly uncomfortable with the achievements recorded under Adeleke’s administration, alleging that the party has resorted to “deliberate twists and lifeless propaganda” in an attempt to discredit the governor’s accomplishments.
The campaign council maintained that the current administration has restored confidence in governance and prioritised development across the state, insisting that Osun residents are direct beneficiaries of the government’s policies and projects.
TICC also challenged the APC and its governorship campaign structure, popularly known as AMBO, to present its achievements during its previous years in power rather than attacking the Adeleke administration.
The statement further claimed that the people of Osun still remember the “hardship and damage” allegedly experienced during the APC-led government, adding that Governor Adeleke has spent the last three and a half years rebuilding critical sectors and improving workers’ welfare.
The council expressed confidence that the governor would secure re-election in the forthcoming governorship poll, stressing that the level of support enjoyed by Adeleke reflects public satisfaction with his administration.
“Governor Adeleke is not only building for today but also laying foundations for future generations,” the statement added.
