Osun to Open Okefia and Lameco Flyovers to Traffic for Sallah Movement

The Osun State Government has announced the opening of the newly constructed Okefia Flyover and Lameco Flyover to vehicular traffic in the state capital, Osogbo.


According to a public notice from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the two flyovers will be opened to motorists from 4:30pm on Monday, May 25, 2025, to ease movement within the metropolis during the Eid-el-Kabir festive period.


The government explained that the decision is aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion in Osogbo, especially as residents and visitors prepare for increased movement during the celebration.


Motorists and residents were urged to cooperate with traffic officials and make use of the new infrastructure responsibly, as authorities emphasized the importance of compliance to ensure smooth operations.


The Ministry also expressed appreciation to the people of Osun State for their patience and understanding throughout the construction period.
