Several Students Feared Abducted as Suspected Insurgents Storm Borno School After Soldiers’ Exit

Panic erupted in Askira-Uba Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday after suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters reportedly attacked Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School, with several students feared kidnapped during the invasion.


According to reports, the assailants stormed the community shortly after security personnel stationed in the area withdrew, leaving residents vulnerable to attack. Eyewitnesses said the terrorists invaded the school premises in the early hours, causing chaos among pupils, teachers, and residents.


Although the exact number of abducted students has not been confirmed, local sources disclosed that many pupils remain unaccounted for following the incident.


Security authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the attack as efforts continue to determine the number of victims and restore calm in the affected community.
