Uba Sani Secures APC Ticket for Second Term in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for a second term in Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 general election.
The governor secured 459,393 affirmation votes during the party’s governorship primary election held on Thursday across the state.
Uba Sani, who contested unopposed, received overwhelming support from party delegates and stakeholders from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, with party leaders describing the outcome as a reflection of confidence in his administration.
The exercise, monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, attracted APC leaders, elected officials and party supporters from different parts of the state.
Chairman of the Kaduna APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primary Election Committee, Hon. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu, described the process as peaceful, transparent and a demonstration of unity within the ruling party.
The affirmation vote was unanimously adopted by delegates following a motion moved by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Liman.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Governor Sani appreciated APC members and residents of Kaduna State for their continued support and trust in his leadership.
He stated that the endorsement for a second term would motivate his administration to consolidate on achievements recorded in infrastructure, education, security and rural development.
The governor also assured residents of his commitment to promoting inclusive governance and sustaining efforts aimed at ensuring peace, economic growth and development across Kaduna State.
