Adeleke Raises Security Alert, Orders Police to Prevent Alleged Plot to Disrupt Osun Motor Parks

Governor of Osun State, , has raised concerns over an alleged plot by some individuals to destabilise motor parks across the state, warning that his administration will not tolerate any attempt to undermine the prevailing peace and order.
In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor disclosed that intelligence reports indicated that certain persons allegedly linked to opposition elements were planning coordinated invasions of motor parks in various local government areas of the state.
Governor Adeleke described the alleged plan as a deliberate attempt to create unrest and disrupt public peace, stressing that the state government would take all necessary measures to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
He commended the relative peace and stability that have characterized motor park operations across Osun State since 2023, noting that his administration remains committed to sustaining a peaceful environment for transport workers, commuters, and residents.
According to the governor, security reports have provided details of the alleged plot, prompting immediate directives to law enforcement agencies to take preventive measures.
“Credible reports indicted some opposition elements in this untoward plan against the peace of Osun State. We already have all the details and I warn them to drop their sinister moves,” Adeleke stated.
The governor further revealed that he has directed the Commissioner of Police to take proactive steps to forestall any attempt to execute the alleged plan.
“I have further directed the Commissioner of Police to take pre-emptive action. The current peace and stability of our dear state must be sustained at all costs,” he added.
The state government reiterated its commitment to maintaining security and public order, while urging residents to remain law-abiding and continue supporting efforts aimed at preserving peace across the state.
