Egbedun Marks 3 Years as Osun Speaker, Pledges Stronger Legislative Impact

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has marked the third anniversary of the inauguration of the 8th Assembly, reflecting on the journey of legislative service and governance in Osun State.
Egbedun noted that the date also marked his emergence as Speaker by his colleagues, describing the moment as a privilege and a call to dedicated service to the people of Osun State.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty God for wisdom and guidance over the past three years, while appreciating the people of Osun State, particularly his constituents in Odo Otin, for their continued support, prayers, and engagement in the democratic process.
The Speaker commended members of the Assembly for their cooperation, commitment, and sense of duty, adding that their collective efforts had contributed significantly to the achievements recorded by the legislature.
He also praised the management and staff of the Assembly for their professional support and dedication to strengthening legislative effectiveness.
Egbedun further acknowledged the role of Governor , commending what he described as a productive relationship between the executive and the legislature, anchored on mutual respect and adherence to democratic principles and separation of powers.
While highlighting progress made in the past three years, the Speaker stressed that more work remains in addressing the aspirations of citizens and advancing development across Osun State.
He reaffirmed his commitment to deepening democratic governance, strengthening legislative performance, and promoting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
Egbedun concluded by expressing optimism for the future, praying for continued blessings upon Osun State and its people in the collective pursuit of greater development.
