Govt Can’t Fund Education Alone, Says Uba Sani
By Abdulahi Musa
Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has said that government cannot shoulder the responsibility of funding education alone, stressing the need for stronger collaboration with private institutions, faith-based organisations, and communities to improve access and quality of learning in Nigeria.
The governor made the remarks while speaking at the commissioning of an educational facility by the Christian Academy Management in Kaduna State. He was represented at the event by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. James Kanyip.
Sani noted that education remains a key driver of human capital development and national progress, adding that investing in young people is essential for long-term peace and prosperity. He emphasized that every investment in education contributes to stronger communities and a more productive society.
The governor reiterated that his administration is committed to expanding access to quality education through infrastructure development, improved learning opportunities, and policies aimed at making education more affordable and equitable across Kaduna State.
He also stressed that partnerships are necessary for sustainable development, stating that meaningful progress in the education sector requires contributions from both government and non-government actors.
