Man Behind Viral Fake Tinubu Voice Note Arrested by IGP Crack Team in Benin

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Special Crack Team has arrested a suspect identified as Ifechukwu Dennis over alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of a fake audio impersonating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


According to presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, Dennis was apprehended in Benin following investigations into the viral audio recording, which he allegedly produced and passed off to unsuspecting targets as the voice of the President.


Security sources said the suspect is believed to have used the manipulated audio to deceive members of the public, prompting a swift response from law enforcement operatives who tracked and arrested him.


Authorities are expected to provide further details as investigations continue, with an official statement from the Nigeria Police Force anticipated in due course.
