MFM Suspends Nationwide Vigils, Imposes 8pm Closing Time for Services

 By Kehinde Awosina

The leadership of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has suspended all night vigils, overnight prayer meetings and similar programmes across its branches nationwide due to growing security concerns in the country.

The directive, contained in an internal circular dated June 5, 2026, was signed by the Director of Administration, MFM International Headquarters and Nigeria, Temitope A. Olawale. The church also directed that all services, meetings and ministry activities must end on or before 8:00 p.m. until further notice.

According to the circular, the measure is a precautionary step aimed at safeguarding the lives and well-being of members amid the prevailing security challenges across the country. Branches that require such gatherings have been advised to convert them to evening prayer sessions that must conclude by 8:00 p.m.

The ministry directed all regional, zonal and branch leaders to ensure strict compliance and immediate implementation of the new security guidelines across its nationwide network.
