Reps to Tinubu: Flush Out Bandits, Kidnappers from Their Hideouts

The House of Representatives has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify security operations across the country and ensure that bandits and kidnappers are driven out of their camps and hideouts.

The lawmakers expressed concern over the persistent attacks, killings, and abductions in several communities, stressing that the growing insecurity poses a serious threat to lives, property, and national development. They urged the President to direct security agencies to launch coordinated operations, including aerial surveillance and ground offensives, to dismantle criminal camps and prevent further attacks.

According to the lawmakers, the continued activities of bandits and kidnappers have displaced residents, disrupted livelihoods, and created fear among affected communities. They emphasized that stronger and more decisive security measures are needed to restore peace and protect citizens.

The call comes amid renewed national concern over insecurity, with recent incidents of kidnappings and attacks in different parts of the country fueling demands for tougher action against criminal groups.
