My Ex-Wife Lied About Being a Virgin Before Marriage — Nollywood Actor Jimmy Rolland

Nollywood actor Jimmy Rolland has claimed that his former wife deceived him into believing she was a virgin before they got married, describing the revelation on their wedding night as one of the biggest disappointments of his life. 


Speaking on the African A-List podcast, Rolland said he ignored several warning signs before marrying her because he trusted her and believed she was being truthful. According to him, both his mother and some friends had warned him against the marriage after what he described as spiritual consultations, but he chose not to heed their advice. 


The actor explained that they dated for four years, during which his former wife repeatedly told him she was a virgin. He said he respected her wishes and refrained from having sex with her before marriage because she insisted they wait until after their wedding.


Rolland recalled that after their traditional introduction, she maintained that intimacy should only happen on their wedding night. However, he said he discovered on the night of their wedding that her claim was false, leaving him devastated.


"I was disappointed, and I should have walked away, but I did not," he said, adding that he now believes he was blinded by love and the influence of his mother-in-law. 


Reflecting on the collapse of the marriage, Rolland said the most painful consequence was being separated from his two children after his ex-wife allegedly took them away following their split.


He claimed the emotional distress caused by the separation affected his health, revealing that he suffered a stroke because of the prolonged worry over not seeing his children.


According to the actor, his mother continues to grieve over the inability to see her grandchildren. He, however, did not disclose when the marriage ended or whether there are any ongoing legal proceedings regarding the custody of the children.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area.
