Osun Will Never Bow to Intimidation, Says Adeleke, Predicts Accord Victory

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that no amount of intimidation or alleged external interference will stop the people of the state from determining the outcome of the August 15 governorship election.

In a statement, Adeleke said Osun residents had a long history of resisting oppression and would not be intimidated ahead of the poll.

"Throughout the history of Osun State, our people have never bowed to intimidation. We are resilient, determined, and fiercely protective of our rights," the governor said.

He expressed confidence that the will of the electorate would prevail, insisting that alleged attempts to influence the election would not override the people's decision at the ballot.

Adeleke further claimed that independent opinion polls consistently project a "clear and decisive victory" for the Accord Party, attributing the forecast to what he described as his administration's achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers' welfare, and pension reforms.

According to him, the performance of his government has earned the confidence of the electorate and positioned the party for victory.

The governor also pledged that, if re-elected, his administration would consolidate on its achievements and deliver greater development across the state.

"By the grace of God and with the continued support of the good people of Osun, our second term will build on these achievements and deliver even greater progress for every community. The best days of Osun are still ahead," he said.

Adeleke urged residents to remain united, vigilant, and participate in the election, calling on supporters of the Accord Party to vote and "be prepared to defend your votes."
