Reps Candidate Pelumi Olajegbensi Donates Six Motorcycles, ₦17Million To Oriade Communities

2027 Accord House of Representatives candidate for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Barrister Pelumi Olajegbensi, has donated six motorcycles and provided ₦17 million in financial support to residents of Ward 8 in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State as part of his community empowerment initiative.

Olajegbensi, a legal practitioner and  Accord Party candidate for the 2027 National Assembly election, made the donations during a visit to Ward 8, a cluster of several agrarian communities renowned for farming and local enterprise.

According to him, the intervention was aimed at improving transportation and supporting the socio-economic activities of residents across the villages.

He explained that the six motorcycles were donated to enhance mobility and facilitate easier movement within and between the communities, while the immediate disbursement of ₦17 million was intended to provide direct support to the people.

The candidate commended the resilience, hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of the residents, describing them as industrious people who have continued to contribute significantly to the local economy through farming and other productive ventures.

Olajegbensi stressed that leadership should be defined by service and compassion rather than self-interest.

"True leadership is not about taking advantage of the people, but about standing with them, sharing their burdens and contributing to their progress," he said.

He reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred representation, promising to continue supporting initiatives that improve the welfare, economic opportunities and overall development of communities across the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
