Tinubu Showcases Healthcare Reforms, Lists Key Achievements

 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has highlighted the achievements of his administration in Nigeria's health sector, stating that ongoing reforms are strengthening healthcare delivery, expanding access to quality medical services, and improving health outcomes across the country. 

According to the President, the Renewed Hope Health Agenda has recorded significant milestones, including increased funding for primary healthcare, the rehabilitation of health facilities, expanded health insurance coverage, and improved access to essential medicines and vaccines. 

Tinubu noted that billions of naira have been invested in strengthening the healthcare system, with thousands of frontline health workers trained and recruited to improve service delivery nationwide. He also said the government has revitalised thousands of primary healthcare centres while introducing modern medical equipment to tertiary health institutions. 

The President further stated that health insurance enrolment has increased substantially under his administration, enabling millions more Nigerians to access affordable healthcare. He added that investments in immunisation programmes and maternal and child health initiatives have contributed to improved public health indicators. 

Tinubu also pointed to the establishment of state-of-the-art oncology centres, expansion of emergency medical services, and partnerships aimed at boosting local pharmaceutical manufacturing as evidence of the administration's commitment to building a more resilient health system. 

Reaffirming his administration's commitment to healthcare, the President said the government would continue investing in infrastructure, workforce development, and health sector reforms to ensure Nigerians have access to quality and affordable medical services.
