Dele Momodu Warns Adeleke: ‘Don’t Expect Free, Fair Election in Osun on August 15’

Veteran journalist and publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu, has sent a strongly worded message to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.


In the message, Momodu described Adeleke as his “twin brother” and urged him to remain steadfast, expressing concern over the possibility of political interference in the election.


Momodu alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was determined to use the Osun election as a “dress rehearsal” for the 2027 presidential election.


He further claimed that some of his contacts within the APC had warned him to expect “any eventuality,” alleging that party foot soldiers had been instructed to secure victory in Osun “by any means necessary.”


However, Momodu did not provide specific evidence to substantiate the allegations.


He also praised Adeleke for what he described as his “uncommon work” in Osun State, urging the governor to remain committed to God and continue his campaign despite the challenges ahead.


Momodu concluded his message by expressing solidarity with Adeleke, saying: “You are loved.”

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit.
