OPay Unveils ‘OPay is Okay’ Initiative to Boost Public Confidence

OPay has launched a new nationwide brand campaign, “OPay is Okay,” as part of efforts to reinforce customer confidence in digital financial services amid growing concerns over online fraud and misinformation in Nigeria's fintech industry.

The campaign underscores the company's commitment to building trust through consistent service delivery rather than promises, at a time when digital scams and false information continue to influence public perception of financial technology platforms.

According to OPay, while digital finance has revolutionised the way millions of Nigerians pay bills, transfer money, save, and manage businesses, maintaining customer trust remains essential to the long-term growth and sustainability of the fintech sector.

Speaking on the initiative, OPay's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Dotun Adekunle, stressed that technological innovation alone is not enough to guarantee customer confidence.

> "Trust is the foundation of every financial service. Technology or innovation alone is not enough. People need to know that their money is secure, their transactions are protected, and the platform they use will be there when they need it," Adekunle said.

He noted that the new campaign reflects OPay's continued focus on ensuring users feel confident whenever they carry out financial transactions on the platform.

The company disclosed that millions of Nigerians rely on OPay daily for a wide range of financial activities, including receiving salaries, paying utility bills, transferring funds, saving money, and managing business transactions.

With the launch of the “OPay is Okay” campaign, the fintech giant said it aims to reassure customers of its commitment to security, reliability, and seamless digital banking services, while promoting greater confidence in Nigeria's rapidly evolving financial technology ecosystem.
