Peter Obi Donates ₦10 Million to Ibadan College of Nursing

Nigerian Democratic Congress 2027 general election presidential candidate, Peter Obi has donated ₦10 million to the College of Nursing Sciences Ibudoro in Ibadan as part of his continued commitment to supporting education and healthcare development in Nigeria.


The donation was made after Obi attended the 50th/15th Biennial Conference of the Methodist Church, where he also engaged with members of the Christian community.


During his visit to the College of Nursing Sciences, Obi fulfilled an earlier pledge to provide financial support to the institution, presenting a cheque of ₦10 million to aid its growth and development.


According to him, investing in educational institutions, particularly those responsible for training healthcare professionals, remains crucial to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria. He stressed that empowering nursing students with better learning opportunities would contribute significantly to improving the country's healthcare system.


The donation underscores Obi's longstanding advocacy for increased investment in education, healthcare, and human capital development, sectors he has consistently described as the foundation of national progress.


School authorities and beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would support the institution's efforts to provide quality training for the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit.
