Tinubu Has Our States, APC Governors Assure President — Uzodinma

 Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has said the 31 governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are united in their determination to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their respective states in the 2027 general elections.

Uzodinma made the disclosure after an APC meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he said the governors had reached an understanding with President Tinubu to mobilise their political structures and work towards delivering their states to the APC at the polls.

According to him, the APC governors remain committed to supporting Tinubu’s administration and are prepared to deploy their political machinery to ensure the President enjoys strong electoral support across states controlled by the party.

He said the commitment formed part of an agreement reached between the governors and the President, adding that the APC leadership would continue to strengthen collaboration among its elected officials as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.

Beyond electoral mobilisation, Uzodinma said APC governments at both federal and state levels were also focused on addressing the economic challenges confronting Nigerians.

The Imo governor specifically highlighted efforts to reduce the burden of high transportation costs, saying measures were being implemented to ease the pressure on citizens and improve living conditions.

His comments come as political parties and prospective candidates intensify preparations for the 2027 presidential, governorship and legislative elections, with alliances, political structures and campaign strategies already beginning to take shape.

The declaration by Uzodinma signals the APC’s intention to leverage its control of several states and the political structures of its governors in its bid to retain the presidency and strengthen its position across the country in 2027.
