Tinubu Will Lose 2027 Poll, Rice and Money Won't Sway Voters — Primate Ayodele

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be defeated in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that attempts to influence voters with food items or cash would not alter the outcome.

Speaking during a church service in Lagos, Primate Ayodele attributed his prediction to what he described as widespread hardship, hunger and growing public frustration across the country.

According to the cleric, the prevailing economic challenges have deepened citizens' dissatisfaction with the current administration, adding that many Nigerians would express their grievances through the ballot box in the next general election.

 "There is anger and hunger in the land. By the election, you will see how people will show their grievances. Rice and money will not stop it. Tinubu will lose this election," he declared.

Primate Ayodele also praised John Onaiyekan for openly expressing concerns about the state of the nation, saying the former Archbishop of Abuja had demonstrated courage by speaking truthfully about the country's challenges.

He argued that many influential religious leaders had failed to provide honest counsel to the President, choosing instead to remain silent despite the worsening economic conditions confronting Nigerians.

The cleric's comments come amid increasing political discussions ahead of the 2027 general election, as political actors, religious leaders and civil society groups continue to assess the performance of the Tinubu administration and the country's economic direction.

While the Presidency has repeatedly defended its economic reforms as necessary measures for long-term national recovery, opposition figures and critics have maintained that the policies have significantly increased the cost of living and worsened hardship for many Nigerians.
