Fadahunsi Congratulates Adeleke on Re-Election, Pledges Support for Second Term

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election for a second term in office.


Fadahunsi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), conveyed his congratulatory message in a statement issued on Friday, September 4, 2026, on behalf of his political family, associates and the people of Osun East.


The senator described Adeleke’s re-election as well deserved, saying it reflected the confidence and electoral mandate given to the governor by the people of Osun State.


He prayed for God to grant Adeleke the wisdom, strength and grace needed to surpass the achievements recorded during his first term.


Fadahunsi also urged the governor to consolidate the gains of his administration and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people, particularly residents of Osun East Senatorial District.


He further pledged his support and cooperation with the governor, stressing the need for political stakeholders to work together for the peace, development and prosperity of Osun State.


“Please accept my assurances of support, collaboration, and partnership as we—you, me, and other stakeholders—work together for the peace, progress, and prosperity of our dear state,” Fadahunsi said.


The senator concluded by congratulating Adeleke once again and wishing him success as he prepares to begin his second term.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit. The development marks another early gain for Accord as the collation of results from polling units across Osun State continues.
