Ijesa Youth Forum Celebrates Owa Haastrup at 78, Hails Monarch’s Leadership

The Ijesa Youth Forum has felicitated the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Royal Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, on the occasion of his birthday.


In a congratulatory message signed by the Forum’s Spokesperson, Bepo Joy Adebimpe, on behalf of the National Executive Council and members of the Ijesa Youth Forum, the group described the monarch as a symbol of wisdom, dignity, unity and purposeful leadership.


The Forum said Owa Haastrup’s reign has continued to demonstrate a commitment to peace, unity and the progress of Ijesaland, noting that his efforts have earned him the respect and admiration of the people.


According to the statement, the Ijesa youths are proud to celebrate the traditional ruler and honour his contributions to the development and advancement of the Ijesa nation.


“Your reign continues to represent wisdom, dignity, unity, peace and purposeful leadership. Your unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ijesaland has earned you the respect and admiration of your people,” the statement said.


The Ijesa Youth Forum prayed for the monarch to be blessed with wisdom, sound health, strength and many more years of fruitful service to Ijesaland and humanity.


It also expressed hope that his reign would continue to promote peace, prosperity, unity and development across Ijesaland.


The Forum concluded its message by wishing the monarch a happy birthday and praying for continued blessings and greater accomplishments during his reign.


“Happy Birthday, Kabiyesi! Long live His Royal Majesty. Long live Ijesaland. Long live the Ijesa people,” the statement added.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit. The development marks another early gain for Accord as the collation of results from polling units across Osun State continues.
