Oluwatoyin Adesola Makes History, Elected Into NIM Governing Council

Osun State has recorded a major feat in the management profession as Mrs Oluwatoyin Olabisi Adesola, FNIM, was elected into the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

Adesola’s election took place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, during the ongoing Annual National Management Conference, ANMC 2026, at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

A corporate and financial management professional with more than three decades of experience in banking, financial management and micro-credit, Adesola is a First-Class Accounting graduate of Redeemer’s University, Ede.

She previously served as a Zonal Manager at Wema Bank Plc and was a two-term Treasurer of the NIM Osogbo Chapter. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Brightminds Management Consults Limited.

Reacting to her election, Adesola described the mandate as a call to greater service and responsibility, expressing appreciation for the confidence reposed in her by members and leadership of the Institute.

She said she looked forward to contributing her experience and ideas towards strengthening professional development, ethical leadership, continuous learning and innovation within the Institute.

“I receive this election with humility, a deep sense of responsibility, and an appreciation of the confidence reposed in me by the leadership and members of the Institute,” she said.

Adesola also pledged to work constructively with the President, other council members, management and the wider membership to advance the growth and relevance of the Institute.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NIM Osun State Branch, Dr Olu Olujide, FNIM, described the development as a significant achievement for management professionals in the state.

Olujide congratulated Adesola on her election, describing it as a victory for professional excellence, dedication and inclusive representation.

“Her well-deserved election to the Governing Council is a resounding victory for excellence, professional dedication, and inclusive representation,” he said.

He further pledged the continued support of the Osun State Branch to enable Adesola record an impactful tenure on the national council.

Similarly, the newly elected Chairman of NIM South West Zone, Alhaji Olatunde Bello, FNIM, commended Adesola for her courage and determination to contest the highly competitive national election.

Bello described her victory as well-deserved and expressed optimism that her experience would contribute positively to the Institute’s leadership and development.

The development has generated excitement among management professionals in Osun and across the South-West, with expectations that Adesola’s presence on the Governing Council will promote inclusive representation, professional excellence and innovative growth within the Institute.
