‘Polygamy Can Make You Want to Take Poison’ — Pete Edochie Warns Men

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has cautioned men against entering into polygamous marriages, warning that having multiple wives could expose them to serious emotional and domestic challenges.


Edochie gave the warning while speaking about the complexities associated with polygamy and the difficulties men may face when attempting to manage relationships with more than one wife.


According to the veteran actor, men who consider marrying multiple women should be prepared for the potential conflicts and pressures that may arise within the family.


He suggested that the reality of managing multiple wives could become overwhelming, stressing that some men might eventually regret the decision.


Edochie’s remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with Nigerians sharing differing opinions on polygamy, marital responsibilities and the challenges associated with maintaining peaceful relationships in polygamous homes.


The actor, who is widely respected for his roles portraying traditional fathers, kings and family patriarchs, has frequently spoken on marriage, culture and relationships.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit. The development marks another early gain for Accord as the collation of results from polling units across Osun State continues.
