Shettima at 60: Tinubu Praises VP’s Loyalty, Courage and Commitment to Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner, patriot and dedicated public servant whose contributions have strengthened his administration.


In a birthday message, Tinubu extended his congratulations to Shettima’s wife, Nana, his children, family members and political associates as the Vice President marks the milestone.


The President described Shettima as more than an ally and colleague, saying his life has been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice to Borno State and Nigeria.


Tinubu commended the Vice President’s distinguished career in banking and his record of public service, first as Governor of Borno State and later as Vice President of Nigeria.


According to the President, Shettima has demonstrated courage, diligence and compassion in both capacities, while remaining committed to improving the lives of Nigerians.


Tinubu particularly praised Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), support for the administration and dedication to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.


The President also highlighted Shettima’s role as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying he had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and strengthening collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments.


Tinubu further commended the Vice President’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, which he said had contributed to strengthening good governance.


“As a trusted partner, his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” Tinubu said.


The President expressed appreciation to Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership in implementing the administration’s programmes, saying he remained confident that both leaders would continue working together to deliver the promises of Renewed Hope to Nigerians.


“On behalf of the Federal Government, I again congratulate Vice President Shettima on this milestone,” Tinubu said.


He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen Shettima, while granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.

Accord Shocks APC, Wins Omisore’s Polling Unit in Osun Governorship Election

  By Abdulahi Musa  The Accord Party has won the governorship election at the polling unit of former Osun Deputy Governor and ex-National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore. Results uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV) showed that Accord secured 131 votes at Polling Unit 003, Ife Ward 1 (Moore), St. Gabriel Primary School, in Ife East Local Government Area. The APC placed second with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled 10 votes. Other political parties recorded only a few votes at the polling unit. The development marks another early gain for Accord as the collation of results from polling units across Osun State continues.
